"BAPS HINDU TEMPLE BREAKS
GROUND" September 04, 2005
Chino Hills Hindus come
together to celebrate a much awaited
occasion.
Hindus
gathered at the site of the upcoming
Chino Hills Hindu Mandir and Cultural
Center to perform the auspicious
groundbreaking ceremony. The rites were
performed by Swamis according to sacred
scriptures that are thousands of years
old. The groundbreaking ceremony, or
khaat vidhi, called upon God
to give His blessings for the
successful completion of the project.
Swamis and devotees paid homage to the
land using prayers to seek the
earth’s permission to disturb its
natural state for the construction of
the cultural center.

brings closure to the infamous question
of whether BAPS would build the temple.
Hindu residents and supporters of the
project are very excited that
construction will begin soon. The
project is set to be completed by 2007
and will stand as an emblem of faith
and unity for the entire community for
generations to come.

the buildings to be built.
