Holiday Toy Drive

BAPS Youth help make Christmas special for the kids of Rancho Monte Vista Mobile Home Park.
Debbie Salazar, who resides at the Rancho Monte Vista Mobile home park, organized its first Christmas party for the neighborhood kids and their families. Many of the residents who live there fall in the lower income capita and this was Debbie's way of giving back to her community. She asked BAPS Temple to assist her with the children's activities at the party. Hundreds of kids with their families came to the party. Kids enjoyed food, games, crafts, signing, and they all left with presents donated by people who care.
Various groups around Southern California and the Chino Valley Independent Fire Division donated the presents. The Youth of BAPS were honored to contribute in the first Christmas gathering. The group volunteered there to make the evening enjoyable for all. "This was our way of giving back to the community," explained one youth, "plus it was great watching the kids open all the presents they received."

It will be extremely gratifying to see the joy in the eyes of each child that will be the recipient of your generosity during the Holiday Season.
The BAPS Temple in Whittier and BAPS Care International contributed $500.00 towards the "Make a Child Smile" program and toys for the "Spark of Love" program.
Members of the temple brought toys that were distributed to the Fire Division as well as another program in Chino Hills, "Caring for the Hills".
Annual 'Joy of Giving' at the Toy Drive held by "Caring for the Hills" in Chino Hills.
Over 400 kids and families signed up for the annual toy drive giveaway held by the "Caring for the Hills", in Chino Hills, CA. The toy drive, which was established by Judy Rogers, a resident of Los Serranos, is a way to give back to families that would not have the opportunity to celebrate Christmas normally.
BAPS was approached by Judy Rogers and Bobbie Griffith, to see if they would be able to help out in this year's Toy Drive. BAPS Temple raised funds and donated over 400 pieces of toys and gift certificates to the toy drive. Judy also got an overwhelming response from the rest of the community and was very excited that she could make Christmas enjoyable for all the kids.
