A Message
from the Chino Hills Indian American
Association
August 20
2003
Dear
Neighbor:
I am writing to
you as a long time resident of the City
of Chino Hills, and also as a member of
the Indian American community. Over the
years, as our City has grown, so have the
richness of our culture and the diversity
of our population. Today, Chino Hills is
the home to hundreds of Indian and Hindu
Americans that live, work, operate
businesses, and go to school here in
Chino Hills.
That's why I am
pleased to be a member of the Chino Hills
Indian American Association (CHIAA), a
local, non-profit organization that
provides a focal point for community
service activities for the Indian
community. We work with numerous other
organizations throughout the City to
sponsor important public service events,
like last fall's Blood Drive supported by
the Chamber of Commerce that honored the
victims of the September 11th national
tragedy.
I am also pleased
to be able to share with you important
news about a new religious and cultural
center being planned for Chino Hills.
Located on the far side of the 71
Freeway, next to other commercial
parcels, a new Hindu temple and cultural
center will bring new life and
architectural beauty to the area. And it
will bring new cultural and educational
opportunities to many of the residents of
Chino Hills and the surrounding
areas.
The attractive
design of the new temple and cultural
center complex will be accentuated by
beautiful gardens, walkways, plazas and
fountains. The new temple -- known as a
Mandir -- will provide religious services
open to all those wishing to participate.
And the adjacent cultural center will
provide gymnasiums, classrooms, computer
labs, and meeting rooms for the education
and cultural enrichment of attendees.
The cultural
center will also include an exhibition
hall for visitors presenting "A
Borderless World" which will feature
exhibits on the worldwide issues of peace
and social harmony.
This website will
provide you additional information about
this exciting new complex to be built
right here at the edge of Chino Hills.
Please take a moment to study the site,
and tell me that you support the
development of this beautiful and
important cultural center complex. Thank
you for your consideration, and for your
support.
Sincerely,
Jitendra
